Camden Crawl 2009 dates and venues announced
18/11/2008
The dates and venues for the newly- named Gaymers Camden Crawl 2009 have been announced.
On Friday April 24th and Saturday April 25th, Camden Town in north London will play host to over a mile and a half of fantastic new talent for over 30 hours across more than 40 venues.
In addition to its customary line up of live music acts, the festival will feature a vast array of interactive daytime activities and cutting edge performances across the arts, including visual art, comedy, spoken word, theatre and much more.
Previous acts to have played the event include Kate Nash, Klaxons, Noah & The Whale, Adele and the Kooks, while esteemed acts such as Billy Bragg, Moby, Amy Winehouse and Echo & the Bunnymen have also performed in venues around the north London borough.
"The Camden Crawl is a natural fit for us," said Gaymers Cider Company's managing director John Mills of the firm's sponsorship of the event.
"Gaymers already has a strong association with live music through festival sponsorships and our Grassroots Gigs series which this year featured the Futureheads, Young Knives, Mystery Jets and the Wombats.
"We are committed to supporting great live music and building on the success weve had last summer. Our involvement with the Camden Crawl will ensure that we continue to support and showcase up-and-coming talent and some of the hottest acts of 2009."
As well as usual Camden Crawl venues such as Koko, the Electric Ballroom and the Underworld, Camden's historic Roundhouse venue has been announced as a new addition to the Crawl circuit.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now and initial line-ups will be announced in January next year.
