Further court appearance for Harrison
31/01/2007
Former champion boxer Scott Harrison is facing two court appearances in the space of two days after being arrested on drugs charges in Glasgow.
The 29-year-old was held in custody overnight after being arrested by Strathclyde police along with another man, 35, yesterday.
He is due to appear at Glasgow sheriff court tomorrow, a day before travelling to Spain to answer separate charges of assault and vehicle theft.
A force spokesperson tonight confirmed that "two men aged 29 and 35 were arrested and detained in connection with alleged drugs offences".
Harrison is currently not permitted to box after being suddenly withdrawn from his WBO featherweight defence against Nicky Cook last year.
The Real McCoy failed to make the weight after time in a Spanish jail in the autumn.
