Harrison appears in Spanish court
21/05/2007
Boxing bad boy Scott Harrison has appeared in a Spanish court over an alleged brawl at a brothel.
The former featherweight champion is accused of assault after the punch-up that left three people injured.
Harrison, 29, was arrested on Saturday night in the southern town of Alhaurin el Grande after getting into a brawl with the owner and other clientele at the El Oxigeno brothel.
The Scot covered his face with his jacket as he arrived at court in the Spanish city of Coin, west of Malaga.
It is the boxer's second arrest in Spain in seven months after spending five weeks in prison last October for trying to steal a car and assaulting police officers.
Harrison, from Cambuslang near Glasgow, had been due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today over a fight in a pub last year.
The boxer is accused of several offences including assaulting a police officer and breach of the peace.
Harrison has a history of alcohol-related problems and was stripped of his WBO world title in December after he had to pull out of a defence against Nicky Cook on medical advice.
His behaviour has led to him being banned by the British Boxing Board of Control.
