Harrison wants to bounce back

20/02/2006

Audley Harrison has confirmed a comeback fight in America after his defeat to Danny Williams in December.

The former Olympic heavyweight champion will attempt to bounce back from the criticism he suffered in the wake of his poor defeat to Williams by facing American Dominic Guinn in California on April 14th.

Guinn has a mixed record, recording 18 knock-outs in his 29 professional fights. But he has lost three of his last five bouts.

Harrison admitted he feels like a man with a point to prove.

"I have a lot to prove, after my loss to Danny Williams. This fight is a great opportunity to show that was a one-off," he said.

And Harrison believes he has given himself every chance of returning to form.

"I have made some necessary changes and my preparation will be far more meticulous therefore ensuring a better performance," he said.

Meanwhile, Harrison's conqueror Williams faces Matt Skelton this Saturday at the ExCel arena and admits he is expecting this to be a much tougher bout.

"I regret the Harrison fight. If I'd laid off the pizza and cakes I could have finished him early," he said of the 12-round points decision.

"This fight I'm taking seriously. It will be the performance of a lifetime," he claimed.
