Khan set for French test
29/11/2006
Amir Khan has announced details of his next fight, which will see him in the ring with Frenchman Rachid Drilzane on December 9th.
The Bolton boxer, who famously won silver at the Athens Olympics, will turn 20 the day before the fight at London's ExCel Arena.
However, Khan said he did not expect Drilzane to put a dampener on his celebrations.
"I have had a good look at Drilzane. He is not a bad fighter but I will not let him ruin my birthday," he commented.
"This year has been pretty special, and it would be great to finish it just the way I started it - with a first-round knockout."
Khan also won his last fight inside the first round and has steadily accumulated experience as he won his first ten professional fights, eight of them via knockout.
The teenage star, who will fight on the same bill as Scott Harrison and fellow Olympic medallist Audley Harrison, said he was aiming to pick up his first title in 2007.
