23/11/2008
Four police officers were killed in a car accident in County Down in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The officers belonged to the police service of Northern Ireland and were travelling down the Moygannon Road, which links Warrenpoint and Kilkeel, in a 4x4 vehicle at the time.
Police have cordoned off the road and have begun an investigation into the accident.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident and all four victims of the crash are males.
The force have declined to release further details about the identity of the victims.
