Pair deny murdering French students
21/11/2008
Two men have today denied murdering two French students in south London in June.
The bodies of Gabriel Ferez and Laurent Bonomo, both 23, were found in a flat in New Cross on June 29th.
Police confirmed they had received multiple stab wounds and their bodies were badly-burnt when discovered.
Mr Bonomo was reportedly stabbed nearly 200 times, while Mr Ferez received almost 50 wounds.
Nigel Edwards Farmer, 33, of no fixed address, and Danno Sonnex, 23, from Peckham, today appeared at the Old Bailey via video link.
The pair denied murder, arson, burglary, false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice and were remanded in custody until April next year.
Mr Bonomo and Mr Ferez were living in London as exchange students at Imperial College at the time of their deaths.
