Teen found guilty over Oxford Street stabbing
24/11/2008
A 19-year-old man has been found guilty of manslaughter following the fatal stabbing of a man in London's Oxford Street in May.
Anthony Costa, of Walthamstow, was found guilty at the Old Bailey on Monday and will be sentenced on December 22nd.
Steven Bigby, of Hackney, was pronounced dead at St Thomas' hospital after receiving a single stab wound to the heart.
A statement from the Metropolitan police said their investigations discovered that Mr Bigby had become involved in an altercation on Oxford Street after leaving a McDonald's restaurant, in which a drink was thrown.
During the argument, Steven was fatally stabbed.
On May 13th, Costa was arrested and subsequently charged with murder.
