Three charged over missing teenage girl
27/11/2008
Three men have been charged over the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl in north-east London in 1999.
Tulay Goren was reported missing by friends and family on January 22nd 1999. She was last seen 15 days previously in the Woodford Green area of London and her body has never been found.
Metropolitan police announced on Wednesday night that Mehmet Goren, 48, of Woodford Green, has been charged with murder.
Cuma Goren, 41, and Ali Coren, 55, both from Walthamstow, are accused of conspiracy to murder.
All three men are due to appear at Redbridge magistrates' court later today.
Between January and September 1999, three men and a woman were arrested in connection with the investigation into Tulay's disappearance. All were later bailed and no further action was taken.
Police claim that their investigation into the school girl's disappearance has always remained open.
