Chantelle and Preston back together?
15/07/2007
Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton and the Ordinary Boys singer Samuel Preston have moved back in together, less than a month after officially announcing the break-up of their marriage.
The couple, who married last August after meeting in the Big Brother house, released a statement in June confirming that they had decided to end their marriage.
However, the 23-year-old former Paris Hilton lookalike has now left her mother's Essex home and moved back in with Preston.
The pair were spotted returning to the Brighton property after a supermarket trip and in an interview with OK magazine, Chantelle insisted that they still have strong feelings for each other.
Explaining her decision to move back in, she said: "All my stuff is there, all his stuff is there too and we still love each other so it seems ridiculous to go back to mum's."
However, when asked about the status of their relationship, Chantelle still seemed decidedly uncertain.
"Will we have separate rooms? Er... well, I suppose. I don't know. Right now I'm desperate to see him, I really am. He texted me saying he's looking forward to seeing me," she said.
The couple have been subject to repeated claims that their relationship was merely a clever career move, with Preston's band enjoying renewed success and Chantelle presenting her own TV shows.
However, Chantelle insists that she has no regrets about getting married and feels hurt by suggestions that her whirlwind marriage was a sham.
"Maybe we should have taken things a bit more slowly, but I really don't regret anything we did," she claimed.
