Princes excited about Diana concert

Prince William and Prince Harry have said that they are looking forward to a memorial concert for their mother as it will be "a wonderful way to remember her".

Speaking in an interview with BBC presenter Fearne Cotton, the princes said the July 1st concert, which would have been Diana's 46th birthday, would encourage people to remember her in a positive light.

Prince William said: "We wanted something that would really bring her whole spirit - her joy of life and everything that we thought she stood for - a bit more to the point and a concert of this magnitude balanced with the service will be a wonderful way to remember her."

He also noted that people should continue to remember Diana in a positive light in spite of the passing of ten years since her death in a car accident in Paris.

"After ten years there's been a rumbling of people bringing up the bad and over time people seem to forget - or have forgotten - all the amazing things she did and what an amazing person she was," the prince said.

In the interview, which will be shown on BBC One in full on June 29th, the princes spoke of how they still miss their mother.

Prince William said: "We were so lucky to have her as our mother and there's not a day that goes past when we don't think about her and miss her influence because she was a massive example to both of us."

The concert organised by the princes will take place at Wembley Stadium and acts such as P Diddy, Sir Elton John and Sir Tom Jones are set to perform at the event.
