David Duchovny leaves rehab after sex addiction treatment
07/10/2008
David Duchovny has completed his treatment for sex addiction at a rehabilitation centre, his lawyer has confirmed.
"David is out of rehab and about to start a new movie," Stanton 'Larry' Stein told People magazine.
"He successfully completed his treatment."
The X-Files star voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction in late August, issuing that statement that asked "for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family".
Duchovny, who currently plays a womaniser in the TV series Californication, has been married since 1997 to actress Tea Leoni, with whom he has a nine-year-old, Madelaine West, and a six-year-old son, Kyd.
The 48-year-old sprang to fame as the UFO-chasing Agent Mulder in the 1990's TV show the X-Files.
This summer saw the release of the second spin-off feature film I Want to Believe.
