Boddingtons Brewery building to host music project
03/08/2006
The old Boddingtons Brewery building in Manchester is to host approximately 25 licensed musical events towards the back-end of the year.
Under the label of the Warehouse Project, numerous DJs and live acts will perform in the converted brewery between October and December.
From October 6th and December 31st, Fridays and Saturdays, as well as some Sundays, will become Warehouse Project nights.
Organisers of the event say: "The Warehouse Project presents around 30 concerts and unique music-based events each bringing a vast array of DJs and live acts to Manchester.
"A real melting pot of the world's most innovative and important artists and performers - the aim is to create a truly original environment where we can party and watch something special unfold."
Andy C, De La Soul, John Digweed and Mr Scruff will all be making an appearance, as well as indie rockers Kasabian, who will be presenting a live DJ set.
Boddingtons Brewery closed down last year after production was moved to Lancashire, Wales and Scotland.
The building is a famous Manchester city landmark close to the MEN Arena; its tall chimney can be seen for miles around.
