Mindee Hutchinson, from Bolton Council Arts and Community Services, told the newspaper: "We want to raise the profile of youth arts in the town and encourage more children and teenagers to take up the activities available in Bolton."

As part of the festival, would-be actors will have to the chance to create a play in two days.

Young thespians will be able to perform their play at the Bolton Festival open-air show, according to Bolton Life.
