Captain Marvel to sign book in Manchester
04/05/2006
Former Manchester United and England captain Bryan Robson will be signing copies of his autobiography in the Manchester Arndale Centre next week.
Currently the manager of West Bromwich Albion (WBA), the ex-midfield player who used to be nicknamed Captain Marvel, will be signing books for his fans at the centre's WH Smith store.
After a signing in Birmingham on Monday May 8th, Mr Robson will check into Manchester on Wednesday May 10th between 12:30 and 13:30 BST to help promote Robbo: My Autobiography.
The book follows the football man's career from the beginning, with reference to life at his first club WBA to the aspects of his career at Manchester United, as well as his role as a manager of both Middlesbrough and his current club.
His transfer between WBA and Manchester United in 1981, which totalled £1.5 million, was then a British record transfer fee.
After winning trophies with Manchester United, such as the Premiership title in 1993 and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1991, Robson oversaw WBA's relegation to English football's Championship this season.
