Fallowfield is 'best place to be for students'
10/11/2006
Fallowfield is the top place to live for students in Manchester, according to a new survey from Accommodation For Students.
Manchester is also one of the best places to study at university, the web-based survey suggests.
Brighton is ranked alongside Manchester as the best place to go to university in England, while Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen are rated highly in Scotland.
William Berry, of Accommodation for Students, remarked: "This information, available on our website, represents students' real opinions about where they study and is…helpful to students going to university for the first time."
"In the city of Manchester the area of Fallowfield comes out as the top place to live for students. For Brighton, it's Bevendean," he added.
Withington, East Didsbury and West Didsbury are also popular student letting areas, as is Rusholme, where the Curry Mile is located.
