Fletcher picks up entrepreneur honour
21/07/2008
Manchester businessman Scott Fletcher has been named Credit Suisse Entrepreneur of the Year for the north-west.
Mr Fletcher is the founder and chairman of ANS Group, the Plus-quoted IT solutions business.
He collected the honour at a ceremony in Liverpool last week and will now represent the region in the same category at November's National Business Awards.
Dukinfield-based housebuilder and general contractor Bardsley Construction was also honoured at the ceremony, picking up the Badenoch & Clark Business of the Year award for the region.
Bardsley, which employs more than 250 people, will be hoping for an honours double, having been nominated in the Regional Contractor of the Year category for September's Construction Industry Awards.
The other Manchester-based winner at the north-west regional section of the National Business Awards was Cattles Invoice Finance, which collected the Business Innovation of the Year gong.
