Initiative targets east Manchester's entrepreneurs
09/11/2006
Prospective entrepreneurs in Beswick, Gorton and Newton Heath have the opportunity to tap into the resources of business advisors in the east Manchester area this month.
As part of Enterprise Week, New East Manchester's businessmen plan to set up stalls across the region's markets, offering local people the chance to gain advice on setting up companies.
Business plans and start-up grants are two of the issues that can be discussed, while questions on niche areas of business can also be raised.
Sean McGonigle, east Manchester's new deal for communities co-ordinator, said: "Recognising markets are a thriving part of our community - this initiative brings business advice to local people in a very accessible way.
"Encouraging entrepreneurialism is an important part of the regeneration process. Setting up a new business is an exciting step but is never easy."
Drop-in events take place between November 14th and 17th.
New East Manchester suggests that east Manchester is "fast becoming the place in which to live, work and visit".
