Kylie gigs cancelled due to respiratory infection
15/01/2007
Kylie Minogue has cancelled two concerts at the MEN Arena in Manchester, following a curtailed performance on Saturday.
The singer has been forced to pull out of gigs due to take place tonight and tomorrow because of illness. It is thought that promoters will reschedule the dates at the earliest opportunity.
However, she is expected to appear, as scheduled, on Thursday and Friday.
A spokesman for the singer said she had been diagnosed with an infection, which was why she could only manage an hour on stage on Saturday.
He said: "Kylie has been diagnosed by doctors as having a moderately severe respiratory tract infection and doctors have insisted that she not perform in the immediate future."
Kylie has already played seven dates at the Wembley Arena as part of the British leg of her Showgirl Homecoming Tour, which began on New Year's Eve
The Australian singer was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005 and has since undergone surgery and chemotherapy.
