Manchester fashion trail this weekend
11/05/2006
Manchester's Urbis exhibition centre holds the penultimate leg of its Little Black Dress event this weekend.
The fashion-themed exhibition, which has been running since April 25th, holds a shopping and textile heritage trail on Saturday 13th May that will take visitors on a tour of the city's fashion history.
Journalist, stylist and editor of the North West Textile Network magazine, Jessica Lowe, will lead visitors around Manchester's most fashionable and historical sites.
The guide will be on hand to issue facts about the city's fashion history and offer shopping tips as well.
Other sections of this four-week event have included a seminar with independent designer Vicky Martin and "a Gorgeous Evening" with representatives from Manchester clothing label Gorgeous Couture.
The exhibition's finale takes place on Friday May 19th, where visitors can talk to and receive advice from a number of the city's fashion gurus.
The Urbis, situated opposite the Printworks in Manchester city centre, aims to portray city life through exhibitions and interactive displays.
