Manchester to receive new airport hotel
11/08/2006
A new hotel is to be built for Manchester Airport off junction six of the M56.
Yorkshire firm Golden Tulip will develop the Tulip Inn, which will contain 135 bedrooms, free parking, meeting rooms and a Bibo Bar & Bistro.
Rooms will be air-conditioned and have satellite television and large power showers, as well as WiFi wireless internet access provided throughout the complex.
"This hotel, with its striking contemporary design, will add to the 1,500 bedrooms already serving the airport," John Atkins of Manchester Airport Developments told The Yorkshire Post.
The Tulip Inn will join a number of other hotels and accommodation that caters for Manchester air transport hub.
Crown Plaza Manchester Airport Hotel is located on the airport complex and has just undergone refurbishment to its club rooms and club lounge.
Additionally, the Manchester Airport Hilton is within 200 metres of the airport terminal buildings and is close to the M56, M6 and M60 motorways.
