Salford Film Festival 'back on'
23/07/2007
The fourth Salford Film Festival has been scheduled for this November after last year's even was cancelled due to financial difficulties.
According to media website How Do, the event is set to take place from the 24th to the 28th of the month with the backing of the city's council, which was keen to see the event brought back to life.
The festival lasts for four days and includes screenings, seminars, lectures and a number of special events, How Do explained, in addition to an invitation for short films from budding directors.
Salford is also known in the up and coming film industry for Reel North, a showcase of work produced by the city's university and broadcast on Channel M.
It aims to provide a platform for new local talent to have their work screened to a national and international audience.
