Salford University 'is cool and dynamic'
21/08/2006
The University of Salford has secured its place in the top ten 'coolest' higher education institutions.
According to the Independent, urban regeneration in the nearby city of Manchester, the area's high cultural standing and even the cost of a pint all enhance the university's reputation.
Salford University is keen to stress that investment in its buildings and facilities is also contributing to the university's 'cool' factor.
Andrew Snowden, president of Salford University Students' Union said: "With £130 million being spent on facilities and accommodation, combined with ever-rising academic standards, students are guaranteed a dynamic education.
"But it's at the Students' Union where the out-of-hours life takes off, with the best bars around, our very own leisure centre and swimming pool, groundbreaking entertainment and pioneering activities."
Mr Snowden added that "there's never a dull moment at Salford".
