Salford University to help turn ideas into reality
13/11/2006
To mark National Enterprise Week, the University of Salford is hosting a series of events between November 13th and 19th.
The university hopes that students, staff and firms in north Manchester will be inspired to turn their ideas into something more concrete after attending a number of workshops and a speed networking session.
Among the events are seminars to improve sales skills and to help people start up their own business.
The university's learning, enterprise and development manager, Claire MacLean, said: "We are delighted to be taking part in this year's National Enterprise Week.
"All our enterprising events are designed to encourage our staff, students and local people to think like entrepreneurs and help transform ideas into working realities."
In related news, east Manchester businessmen are planning to set up stalls across a number of local markets as part of National Enterprise Week.
The stalls will offer local people the chance to obtain advice on setting up businesses and applying for start-up grants.
