Everton complete Saha deal
01/09/2008
Everton have completed the signing of Manchester United striker Louis Saha for an undisclosed fee.
The Frenchman has signed a two-year deal at Goodison Park, with the option of a third year, after passing his medical at the weekend.
Saha, who will wear the number nine shirt for his new club, scored 42 times in his 124 appearances at Old Trafford, but his time at the Premier League champions was blighted by injury.
After his £12.8 million move from Fulham in 2004, Saha found himself sidelined by a combination of injuries as well as the arrival of Carlos Tevez from West Ham United.
The 30-year-old joins former United team-mates Phil Neville and Tim Howard at Goodison Park and becomes Everton's third signing this summer, following the arrivals of Lars Jacobsen and Segundo Castillo.
