GB's Walsh and Florence reach semi-final

It was a great day for Great Britain at the spectacular Shunyi Rowing-Canoeing Park in Beijing.

Campbell Walsh and David Florence both reached the semi-finals of their respective events.

Canoeist Florence was the third-fastest overall qualifier for Tuesday's semi-finals.

"It's great to have a good run. I'm pretty confident for the semi now," said Florence.

Walsh was ninth quickest overall in the single kayak slalom.

"I definitely think that if I paddle well I can go on and get a medal," he said.
