Muntari to complete Inter Milan move
25/07/2008
Sulley Muntari has said he is close to completing his move from Portsmouth to Inter Milan.
The Ghana international is highly rated in Italy after a successful spell at Udinese before he signed for Pompey for £7 million last year.
Inter boss Jose Mourinho is said to have offered the 23-year-old midfielder a four-year deal at the Serie A champions.
And reports claim Muntari is due to undergo a medical today.
Talking to Sky Sports, the midfielder said the Inter offer was too good to turn down but he was grateful to Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp for developing his game.
"There are teams when they come to you, you need to listen to them," he said.
"Harry has developed my game, he has been a father figure to me. I love him, and also the Portsmouth fans, but when Inter call you need to listen.
"I already missed a chance to play for a super team [Manchester United] this time I need to seize it."
