Murray brothers crash out of Olympics
13/08/2008
Andy and Jamie Murray have crashed out of the Olympic doubles competition.
The British pair were defeated 6-1 6-3 by France's Michael Llodra and Arnaud Clement in the second round.
The French duo, previous Wimbledon champions, broke the Murrays' serve twice in each set to complete the comprehensive victory.
The manner of the British defeat was highlighted by Jamie Murray double-faulting on match point.
The defeat will come as a massive blow to Team GB who had hoped for success in the doubles competition as well in the singles before Andy slumped to a 6-7 4-6 defeat to Taiwan's Yen-Hsun Lu.
On the plus side, the world's number six can now concentrate on the US Open later this month.
