Redknapp: A terrific result
13/11/2008
Harry Redknapp has said Tottenham Hotspur's 4-2 win over Liverpool in the Carling Cup fourth round last night was "a terrific result".
Two goals apiece for strikers Fraizer Campbell and Roman Pavlyuchenko put the joint league leaders to the sword at White Hart Lane.
And Redknapp, who is still unbeaten since taking over as the manager of the League Cup holders, said: "It was a great night, a cracking atmosphere and a terrific result for us.
"We played well, we were a threat, the front two were always lively and Aaron Lennon was dangerous."
Redknapp made seven changes to the team that won last weekend's league game at Manchester City.
And he said he was pleased with the contributions of some of the fringe players.
"It's a squad game and all the lads who came in did a good job," he said.
"You could see that the players I brought in were all good players - the likes of Aaron Lennon; Jamie O'Hara, who is in the England under-21 squad; Alan Hutton, who will be playing for Scotland; Michael Dawson - they are all quality players."
But despite their recent run of form, with four wins in the five games since he took over from Juande Ramos, Redknapp has urged caution.
"We've got to enjoy it now because we'll have ups and downs throughout the season," he added.
"Fulham on Saturday is another massive game and we need league points to get up that table."
