Ronaldo 'to consider United future' after final
16/05/2008
Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly said he will consider his future at Manchester United after next week's Champions League final in Moscow.
Reports from Spain suggest the Portuguese international, who has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid throughout the last 18 months, has once again spoken of his desire to play in La Liga later in his career.
But this time he has indicated that this summer could see a time for reflection for the 23-year-old, who has won back-to-back PFA player of the year and football writers' player of the year awards.
"I'm happy here, but let's see what happens after the Champions League final," Ronaldo is said to have told Spanish broadcaster Antena 3.
"I know Real Madrid like how I play and other teams in Spain do as well.
"I have said millions of times that I would love to play in Spain, but it's one thing to dream and another thing for it to be a reality.
"I am feeling calm here. I'm happy here but in the future I don't know."
Ronaldo is currently the favourite to win the 2008 world footballer of the year award after enjoying a stellar season in which he has scored 41 goals in all competitions so far.
And only a few days ago he was forced to deny British tabloid rumours that Real Madrid are seeking to tempt him away from Old Trafford with an audacious £100 million transfer bid.
