Ueno claims judo gold in 40 seconds

Masae Ueno from Japan took just 40 seconds to win the gold medal in the women's 70kg judo competition.

In defeating Cuba's Anaysi Hernandez, she also became only the third woman to retain her judo title in Olympic history.

American Ronda Rousey picked up a bronze after beating Annett Boeham from Germany.

And Edith Bosch won the other bronze medal with an ippon throw to defeat Spain's Leire Iglasias.

In the men's 90kg competition Georgia's Irakli Tsirekidze won the gold medal after defeating Amar Benikhlef from Algeria.

Egypt's Hesham Mesbah and Switzerland's Sergei Aschwanden won the bronze medals.ADNFCR-8000014-ID-18730369-ADNFCR
