Broncos wrap up Randall deal
06/10/2005
London Broncos have confirmed they have completed the signing of talented Australian hooker Chad Randall from NRL club Manly Sea Eagles.
The 24-year-old star will join Tony Rea's side on November 24th, by which time the Broncos will be playing under their new name Harlequins Rugby League.
Speaking to the club's official website, Rea said he was delighted to have secured Randall and is confident he will settle in quickly at new ground the Twickenham Stoop.
"He's a very natural footballer who reads the game very well. I think he will form a solid combination with our halves," he said.
"Chad was in very good form this season when Manly were going strong mid-season and I liked what I saw. He'll fit in well with our plans."
Rea added that he is looking forward to seeing Randall link up with Neil Budworth, who returns next season after missing the entire 2005 campaign after undergoing a knee reconstruction.
However, pressure will certainly be on Randall to have an immediate impact, particularly after a number of first team squad players departed the club.
Francis Stephenson, Steve Trindall, Anthony Armour and Dave Highton are among those to have left the club.
