Bulls thrash Hull
02/10/2005
Bradford Bulls thrashed Hull 71-0 in their engage Super League play-off eliminator at Odsal last night.
The home side ran in 12 tries as they completely overwhelmed Hull, eradicating any hopes that the Challenge Cup winners had harboured of winning the double.
Bradford's cause was boosted early in the match when Hull had Stephen Kearney sent off for three high tackles with just six minutes on the clock.
By that stage, the Bulls were already 6-0 in front and there was no stopping them after that as they raced to a 41-0 half-time lead.
After the game, Bulls' coach Brian Noble was already looking ahead to next week's eliminator against St Helens which will decide who will face Leeds in the Grand Final at Old Trafford.
"We know full well how tough it's going to be next week. We need to make sure we finish strongly," he said.
"As for Hull, they've had a super season. They set their sights on the Challenge Cup and did it. As for us, we still haven't done anything yet.
"We practised well through the week and were very committed. As a result, we're still in this competition."
