Flintoff ready for Pakistan
03/11/2005
Ashes hero Andrew Flintoff has demanded England refocus their minds on the challenge of playing Pakistan.
The Ashes Man of the Series says he is proud of the team's summer exploits but knows the tour of Asia will pose a different kind of challenge.
He said: "Australia has gone, we have to take the positives from it, but it's new stuff, new territory for us
"We're expected to win and the pressure is on us, but we've got to enjoy that and take it on."
Flintoff flew to Australia soon after beating them to play for the World XI in the Super Series. As a result he was given an extra rest before the Pakistan tour.
The England all-rounder was on of the few players who performed well for the World XI and was unable to change a one sided series.
He is now looking forward to returning to the England squad he knows so well. Flintoff said: "I've had so much attention back home and photo shoots, I just want to start playing again."
"A lot of things have happened and I'm looking forward to doing what I feel comfortable with - I feel comfortable on a cricket pitch."
