GB squad lose skipper
19/10/2005
Great Britain rugby league skipper Jamie Peacock is an injury doubt ahead of the Tri-Nations clash with New Zealand on October 29th.
The Bradford star is suffering after taking a knee to the groin in Saturday's Super League grand final win over Leeds Rhinos and is thought to be struggling with another as yet unspecified injury.
He has been forced to withdraw from Great Britain's Spanish training camp in La Manga to undergo intensive medical treatment.
Head coach Brian Noble has so far refused to comment on the extent of the key player's injury.
Meanwhile, Peacock's Bulls team-mate Iestyn Harris has also stayed behind in the UK after being given permission to remain with his partner who is due to give birth.
The remainder of the squad are all at full fitness for the four-day training camp.
