Casey nightmare continues
27/10/2006
Paul Casey's bid for the European Order of Merit has been further damaged today after a six over second round at the Club de Golf Valderrama in the Volvo Masters.
Ireland's Padraig Harrington, the Englishman's closest rival in the race for the prestigious award, enjoyed a better second outing in Spain after ending the day level.
Casey's other challengers for the Order of Merit are David Howell and Robert Karlsson, with the golfers today both carding scores of one over.
The 29-year-old's chances have been severely hit by an untimely bout of food poisoning.
Sweden's Henrik Stenon meanwhile occupies the top of the leaderboard on four under, with Lee Westwood one behind in terms of both placing and score.
Phil Archer, Luke Donald, David Lynn and Australian Richard Green are all tied on minus two, with overnight leader Jose Manuel Lara slipping to one under.
