Lead tied in Scandinavian Masters
18/08/2007
South African James Kingston shot a 67 to tie the Scandinavian Masters lead going into the final round in Stockholm.
The 41-year-old was matched by overnight leader Martin Kaymer, whose 68 kept him at the top of the leaderboard on seven under par after three rounds at Arlandastad.
The third round proved too much for the other two overnight leaders, Henrik Nystrom and Sam Walker, however.
Walker shot a two-over 72 to fall off the pace while Nystrom fared one shot worse, sending him back to a cumulative two under.
The round of the day came from Englishman Paul Broadhurst, however, who carded a fine 64 to give himself a chance in tomorrow's final round. He advanced from tied 40th to tied third in the space of just 18 holes.
Broadhurst, who equaled the course record with his round, joins compatriot Nick Dougherty and Mikko Ilonen of Finland on four under par in the chasing pack.
"They are some of the toughest holes on the course so it's a great finish," he said afterwards.
