Randhawa leads Indian Masters
07/02/2008
Home favourite Jyoti Randhawa leads the field after the first day of the Indian Masters in Delhi after carding a seven-under-par round of 65.
The 35-year-old is two shots clear of England's Richard Finch and Irishman Damien McGrane, who are tied for second on five under par.
A group of three players, including another Indian player Shiv Kapur, are level on four under par, putting them joint fourth on the leaderboard. The other two players are Spaniard Jose Manuel Lara and Denmark's Thomas Bjorn.
Two Englishmen - Benn Barham and David Lynn - are tied for seventh in a group of ten players, which also includes American Mark O'Meara, Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell and France's Raphael Jacquelin.
Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke finished the day on level par, while David Howell had an up-and-down day.
The Englishman grabbed an eagle three on the first hole and also holed three birdies on his round.
However, he also carded three bogeys and two double bogeys, leaving him two over par for the day.
