Seve "feeling well" after collapse
09/10/2008
Seve Ballesteros has said he is "feeling well" despite remaining in hospital to await the results of tests after losing consciousness on Monday.
The 51-year-old golf legend - winner of five majors in a star-studded career complained of dizziness at his Madrid home and was taken to the local La Paz hospital.
Ballesteros has remained under observation for the last three days as doctors investigate his condition.
But in a statement, the Spaniard sought to reassure fans that he is in good condition and is being well looked after.
"[Seve] is stable and is waiting for the results of supplementary tests, which will possibly be concluded tomorrow [Friday], to establish a diagnosis," the statement said.
On his personal website, Ballesteros thanked everyone for their messages of support and good wishes.
"I am feeling well," he wrote.
"I am waiting for the result of medical exams which were carried out on me. I wish to personally thank all of those who are concerned about my health condition.
"It is difficult to answer all your messages due to the great number I am receiving. I want you to know they make me feel very good and I feel greatly supported by all of you."
