Osama Bin Laden releases new tape
16/05/2008
Osama Bin Laden has released a new audio message claiming Muslims have a duty to wage holy war to liberate Palestinian land.
The al-Qaida leader released the new message to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the foundation of Israel, Sky News reports.
In the new message posted on an Islamist website Bin Laden claims the terror network will continue to fight against Israelis and would not give up any territory belonging to Palestinians.
"We will continue, God permitting, the fight against the Israelis and their allies... and will not give up a single inch of Palestine as long as there is one true Muslim on earth," Sky News quotes Bin Laden as saying.
The authenticity of the audio tape, entitled The Causes of Conflict on the 60th Anniversary of the State of Israeli Occupation, has yet to be verified.
The al-Qaida leader previously released a message on March 20th urging Muslims to continue their fight against US forces in Iraq and continue towards "liberating Palestine".
