More homes to be built in Droylsden regeneration area
22/05/2008
The regeneration of Droylsden Marina in east Manchester has been given a boost by news that more homes are to be built as part of a large-scale waterside project.
Named Sapphire Point, the new development built by Bellway will consist of 90 one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom homes.
The development will be established on a derelict strip of land near the Ashton canal, reports Easier Property News.
Lynne Duxbury, Bellway sales manager, said: "To be part of the Droylsden Marina is very exciting.
"Sapphire Point is a special development in an up-and-coming area and it is certain to attract a high level of interest."
The Droylsden Marina project, which is being funded by the EU, will eventually comprise 300 homes, and office and retail space.
