Sportcity homes unveiled this weekend
12/08/2008
Countryside Properties is inviting first-time buyers to check out its Sportcity Living development on Ashton New Road in the east of the city.
On Sunday August 17th, a brand new show home will be unveiled at the new estate, which consists of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
The final phase of the Manchester property development includes 28 homes available to buy through the government-backed First Time Buyer Initiative (FTBI).
This enables first-time buyers to buy a new house for half the price, with regeneration agency English Partnerships funding the rest.
Countryside Properties' regional sales director Martin Leggett said: "We want budding homeowners to join us this Sunday for a glass of bubbly, a bite to eat and to see ... what is now affordable through the FTBI."
According to the Land Registry, the city of Manchester has seen house prices rise by 4.8 per cent over the past 12 months to £114,602.
