First Billboard No 1 for TI is record breaker

28/08/2008

Rapper TI has made history as he scored his first Billboard Hot 100 number one for Whatever You Like.

The 27-year-old's single, which was downloaded 205,000 times, jumped 70 places to hit top spot after three weeks in the chart.

Maroon 5's Makes Me Wonder was the previous record holder after it rose from 64 to one in May last year.

TI, real name Clifford Joseph Harris Jr, is currently waiting to serve a year's jail sentence after pleading guilty to federal weapons charges.

One place behind the rapper is Rihanna with Disturbia, with Chris Brown's Forever and current UK number one I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry at three and four.

Kardinal Offishall's Dangerous featuring Akon completes the top five.
