Brown prepares for grilling from MPs
02/07/2008
The prime minister is preparing for a grilling infornt of some of the country's most senior MPs tomorrow when he faces the Commons liason committee.
Mr Brown could face some tough questioning from the committee. It only meets the prime minister twice a year, is constituted by the chairs of all other Commons committees and has a cross-party flavour.
Mr Brown will be answering questions from some of the most senior MPs in parliament, many of whom belong to opposition parties.
In a rare move, the committee has decided to release some information about its line of questioning.
Topics set to be covered include constitutional renewal, global economic issues, including oil, food and energy, management of the economic downturn and international flashpoints.
The meeting is just the latest trial for the prime minister, who faced David Cameron at prime minister's questions earlier today for the first time since Labour's disastrous result at the Henley by-election.
The session will begin at 10:00 BST tomorrow. politics.co.uk will be covering events live.
