Wendy Alexander to be suspended
26/06/2008
Scottish Labour party leader Wendy Alexander should be suspended from the Scottish parliament for one day, a standards committee has recommended.
The parliament's standards committee ruled Ms Alexander failed to declare donations to her leadership campaign.
Parliament, however, is currently in summer recess and will have to wait until September to vote on the recommendation.
Ms Alexander has previously claimed she acted in good faith and in accordance with initial written parliamentary guidance.
