Bosc guides Dragons to victory
10/06/2007
A sensational display from Thomas Bosc gave Catalan a shock 26-23 win over Hull to reach the last four of the Challenge Cup.
Bosc kicked four goals and a drop goal as the Dragons survived an onslaught from Hull at the start of the second-half to clinch victory.
Catalan produced a dominant first-half display to ram in three tries and lead 16-8 at the break.
Adam Mogg crossed the line twice while centre John Wilson touched down for the Dragons' third try.
Hulls scored two tries through Shaun Briscoe and Paul King to keep them in the game.
Star man Thomas Bosc kicked two goals as the French side looked to be on course for a shock victory.
Hull made an explosive start to the second period with nine unanswered points to move 17-16 ahead.
Richard Horne kicked a drop goal while the in-form Danny Tickle kicked his fourth goal.
But the Dragons hit back with a drop goal from Jerome Guisset. A try from Clint Greenshields and two further goals and a drop goal from Bosc gave the Dragons a nine-point advantage.
Despite a late try from Sid Domic and another goal from Tickle to reduce the deficit, Catalan held on for a memorable victory.
