Fozzard commits to Saints
08/06/2006
St Helens have completed a move to tie down prop forward Nick Fozzard on a two-year deal.
The 28-year-old has featured in 73 games for Saints since signing in 2004 and will now remain at Knowsley Road until the end of the 2008 season.
Fozzard admitted he was delighted to have agreed terms on a new deal and is looking forward to a bright future with the club.
"I'm glad the next two years have been sorted out," he told the club's website.
"I've got a fantastic set of teammates, and a great coach. It's the right place to be to try and win some trophies and I'm very, very happy to be staying."
Saints chief executive Sean McGuire added: "Nick is a quality British prop forward and we are delighted to have retained his services for the next two seasons.
"As well as being an important player for the team, he is a great character to have at the club, and we look forward to him continuing being a factor in our success in the future."
Fozzard previously played for Leeds, Huddersfield and Warrington before moving to the runaway Super League leaders.
