Full-back Reardon extends Wolves contract
17/07/2008
Warrington Wolves full-back Stuart Reardon has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until November 2010.
The 26-year-old, who joined from Bradford Bulls in 2005, was due to be out of contract at the end of the season.
Many pundits had suggested Reardon, who is a Great Britain international, could be set to move away from the Halliwell Jones Stadium ahead of the 2009 Super League campaign after suffering a season-ending Achilles tendon injury in May.
However, the player has put pen to paper on a new deal, which the club say was offered to him as a result of his form prior to suffering the ruptured tendon.
"Obviously it's disappointing to be out injured at the moment, but hopefully I can come back stronger in 2009," he said.
"I'm delighted to be staying with Warrington and determined to play my part in the future success of this club."
