Higgins signs new Tigers deal
26/08/2008
Castleford Tigers prop forward Liam Higgins has signed a new one-year contract extension at the club.
The 25-year-old is currently coming to the end of his second season at the Jungle.
And as a reward for his consistent performances in Super League this season, the Tigers have offered the Doncaster-born player the chance to extend his time with the club.
Head coach Terry Matterson said: "I am pleased that Liam has agreed a new deal and I look forward to working on improving his game.
"He has played in all but one game this season and I feel that with another season under his belt will continue to get better.
"Liam is a popular member of our squad and his signing will be well received by his peers."
Higgins added: "I'm glad to have agreed a new deal, I have enjoyed playing a full season in Super League.
"It's been a tough year but I feel that we are improving and we will kick on next season."
