Leeds outclass sorry Hull in emphatic victory at KC Stadium

24/03/2008

Leeds continued their superb start to the season with an impressive 30-4 victory over Hull at the KC Stadium.

The Rhinos had too much raw class and skill for the injury-hit home side and the result never really looked in doubt.

Tries from Rob Burrow, Brent Webb and Lee Smith before half time as well as three goals from Kevin Sinfield handed Leeds an 18-0 lead at the break, a lead they never looked likely to relinquish.

Sinfield then scored a try of his own during the second half, as did Carl Ablett before Gareth Raynor crossed for a consolation score for Hull late in the game.

Ablett's score came after some dazzling offloading from Leeds with 11 separate players involved in shipping the ball away from the defence before the replacement crashed over the line.

Raynor's try for Hull was the first against Leeds for almost three full Super League games in a row.

The victory means Leeds now have seven wins in eight games and they remain at the top of the engage Super League table.

Hull meanwhile remain second from bottom, with only Castleford below them.ADNFCR-8000014-ID-18519832-ADNFCR
